Old "guc" regata

The "guces" are old ships from the island of Rab. The port of Rab was a setting for the first sailing regatta with this old ships after a long, long time. Many tourists and people of Rab gathered in the port to watch this manifestation.
The goal of the regatta is to stimulate people to start valuing the old tradition of sailing with a "guc", but also to make the politicians of Rab realize the importance of starting a real professional sailing club, because a lot of children and young people on the island are interested in this sport, and the conditions are ideal too.
It is plan of the organizers to make this regatta a traditional event which could even be held more times during year.
